I'm so inspired by spring and summer, and all the bright, happy colors ! I love being outside ! My fondest childhood memories are of those simply playing outside in the summer sun. And my fondest memories as an adult, are those memories I have of my children playing outside, enjoying the innocent freedom and creativity of simply playing outdoors.

Pure joy and wonder still comes from the simple things; climbing the low branches of a strong tree, playing hide and seek within the cattails of a winter-frozen pond, gazing the enchanting dance of fireflies in a summer evening field, squishing bare feet and toes in a muddy, late-spring puddle, and collecting colorful, misshapen rocks, downy-soft bird feathers and late summer cicada shells !

I believe in encouraging young impressionable minds with the simple, yet interesting and beautiful things found in our natural environment. I believe this ignites curiosity and nurtures a gentle appreciation for all things found in nature. And I believe my playful, colorful style comes from this.
